Stein Johnson

Norwegian musician and athlete, 1921-2012. As a teenager he played harmonica in Bergens Munnspillorkester. Later he would become Norwegian champion in discus throw, and compete in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics. It was as a speedskating coach he would reach his biggest fame though, as his methods vastly improved the performance of the Norwegian speedskaters at the time, resulting in several records being broken and the period referred to as the "skating revolution of 1963".
