Charita Thomas

American vocalist originally from Wayne, a town on the outskirts of Philadelphia, PA. Charita Thomas came over to London, UK in 1978, worked as stage manager for a gospel musical called "Little Willies Junior Resurrection". When the show finished after a two month run, she decided to stay in England to write songs. Charita Thomas had a vast experience of music from an early age. After singing in the gospel choir in her native Philadelphia, she left school to earn a living as a session singer including - just prior to arriving in England - working with [a29262]'s Brides Of Funkenstein. When the "Little Willies Junior Resurrection" show ended, Charita Thomas met Linda Taylor and sang with [a330918] in the band Ray Shell and the Street Angels and continued as Street Angels (2) without Ray Shell. She opend a restaurant in 2001 in Brighton, UK called Momma Cherri's.
