Harald Blenke

German guitarist. Born: 26-Apr-1946 Died: 26-May-2023 Blenke started his musical journey with the Blackbirds before joining the Bremen-based band, the Yankees, as a guitarist in May 1963. He played with the Yankees until 1969, marking a significant milestone in his career on September 28, 1965, when he and the band opened the first program of the iconic TV series "Beat-Club" with their hit "Halbstark". Beyond music, Blenke was passionate about football, founding the Yankees-Kuhhirten-Hammers football club. His career path later took a turn as he joined Martin Brinkmann AG, where he worked as a tobacco buyer.
