Steve Brown is a singer-songwriter and guitar player from Willow Grove, PA. He started writing songs in sixth grade and played in numerous "garage rock" bands in grade school, high school, and college, all of which were predominantly cover bands that also performed a select number of Brown's original compositions. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame (IN) with a degree in American Studies, he returned home and founded The Rigbees as a vehicle for recording and performing his original songs. The Rigbees have released two full-length albums on Brown's record label (Rigbee Records/Flare Gun Music) in addition to contributing tracks to several compilations; the band has enjoyed national FM airplay (150+ stations) on the P.R.I.-syndicated World Café and solid support from numerous regional FM and college stations. Brown has written 200+ songs and continues to write, record, and release original songs.
