Oliver Postgate

English writer and animator/puppeteer. He created popular children's television programmes; Pingwings, Pogles' Wood, Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, Clangers and Bagpuss. Along with [a5294012], he created Smallfilms, the company which made these programmes which were first shown between the 1950s and 1980s.
