Belgian Orchestra from Aalst. (1954 - 1980) In 1954 [a2626705] became the leader of The New Swingers Gang. He renamed The New Swingers Gang into [a3707484] [variations: Octaaf Boone's Actif Club (1956), Benelux Actif Club (1958)]. Members at that time: [a2626705] (piano, leader), Roger Huylebroeck (trumpet), [a3716312] (trumpet), [a3601656] (sax), Frans Troch (sax, clarinet), Remi Van de Borre (trumpet), Albert Van den Broeck (trumpet), Eugeen Verbeeren (tenor saxophone), Fons Vidts (double bass). In 1970 [a3601656] became the leader of the band. He renamed it in Actif Club 2000. Until 1978 Cindy (6) was singer with the Actif Club 2000. Other welknown members are: [a462938], Jef D'Haese. Actif Club 2000 played their last gig in 1980 while Aalst Carnaval was going on.
