Telge Blues
Настоящее имя: Telge Blues
Об исполнителе:
Swedish blues band formed in 1972, whose name is derived from an old spelling of their home town Södertälje, south of Stockholm. During the 1970s they were one of the most popular blues bands in Sweden, and are considered to be among the three great bluesperformers in Sweden (Per ” Stockholm Slim” Notini and Per ”Peps” Persson being the other two). Telge Blues mainly played rarely heard Chicago and Louisiana blues from the 1950s and 1960s, songs written by obscure bluesmusicians, with their own touch to it. They also backed visiting American blues artists on tour such as Eddie Boyd, Lightnin' Slim, Whispering Smith, Big John Wrencher, GP Jackson and Johnny Shines. The group consisted of Sven Zetterberg (harmonica and vocals), Anders Gutke (guitar and vocals), Kenneth Pettersson (bass) and Stefan Sundlöf (drums). As of 1974; Gunnar Rosengren (bass) and Hans Jansson (guitar). In 1973, the band's songs were played in Sveriges Radio's program "Tonkraft" which was (temporarily) led by Janne Forsell, which led to several gigs with foreign blues artists who visited Sweden. Telge Blues (1975) is the only album they released.
