Octavian Rațiu

Born in 1946, Octavian Rațiu was one of the most appreciated teachers of violin and chamber music in Romania, among his disciples being resonant names of local violinism. On the morning of August 2, 2019, the violinist and professor Octavian Rațiu, univ. Prof. PhD at the National University of Music in Bucharest, has passed away. The funeral took place on Monday, August 5, at the Bellu Catholic Cemetery in Bucharest.
