From Wolverhampton. Derek Gibbs was the lead singer of Jason Cord and the First Chapter, previously known as Intent 'n' Purpose. The rest of the original First Chapter was Phil Williams, Phil Bird and Steve Rideout on guitars and Keith Tulley on drums. Later members of the group were Paul Robbins, Pete Bickley and Mac Bailey
