Active in show business already as a child, appearing in shows in New York and other cities from 1916, including appearances in Paris and Spain in 1930, retired from music in the mid-1930s, making odd appearances in the 1940s-1950s, operating an acting/singing school in New York in the 1950s, secretary of Negro Actors Guild from 1956, wrote/produced/directed plays in the New York area in the 1960s. Her recorded legacy consist of four vaudeville blues songs recorded for Emerson in 1921.
