The Flies (9)

Greensboro, North Carolina, punk band operative in the late '70s (primarily 1978-79). During most of their tenure the members were Paul Moorefield, Roy Parnham, Jeff Freeman and Moxie - the latter was the drummer, but it's known that the band had several other drummers during their existence. They released one 45 on their own Starving Artist label, and there was also a demo tape of the band in circulation among fans but never commercially available. Moorefield and Freeman went on to form the Truehearts.
