Gerardo Arellano

Gerardo Arellano Becerra was a prolific Colombian singer born in the municipality of Buga at Christmas of 1946. His first recording was a cover of Francis Lai's "Love Story" in 1971 for the label Sonolux. Gerardo Arellano has sung as opera recitals as Colombian folkloric music. He died at November 27th, 1989, while the Avianca Flight 203 (a Boeing 272-21 bought for Avianca to Pan Am in 1975) where he travelled, was destroyed by a bomb over the city of Soacha.
