Choir founded in 1947, within the cultural section of the Grup Excursionista i Esportiu Gironí (GEiEG). The first director was the master Francesc Civil; its second director was the master Josep Viader, and the last was Josep Casademont. For the first 20 years it was a men's-only choir. Throughout that first stage the Choir won various awards and distinctions nationally and internationally, and left a legacy of different recordings.
