Jo Kurzweg

Hans-Joachim Kurzweg (born on December 1, 1936 in Strausberg near Berlin; died July 16, 2023 in Berlin) was a german conductor. He began as a cellist. In 1969 he founded the "[a340381]" and worked together with [a266412] for many years. His orchestra soon established itself as the most important ensemble for party sound music in the GDR. From 1974 simply called "Orchester Jo Kurzweg", accompanied by the [a1766111] and later the [a316663]. brother of [a379946]
