Merle Knudson

American saxophonist, born 23 February 1925 in Alden, Iowa - died 17 July 2015 in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was raised in Alden and after graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Navy, where he played with various bands during his deployment. Then he started his career in music as a road musician and played with many big bands.
