Verbal Assault (2)

Verbal Assault were a UK punk band based in Portsmouth, formed around 1980. Their fist gig was at the Portsmouth Labour Club, supporting Red Flag. They featured on two compilations, Azure and Bullshit Detector 3 on the Crass label. They self-released a lo-fi cassette tape which you could only purchase at the local branch of HMV. The main lineup was Carl Edwards (drums), Jon Ross (vocals), Mark Davies (guitar) and Garry Jeff (bass).
