Skip Skiffington

Wolf "Skip Skiffington" Skipler is a German-born, America-based avant-garde "outsider artist" known for unique lyrics, unconventional political views and beautifully discordant vocal stylings . The oldest of five children, he was born in Stuttgart, Germany Sept. 11, 1953. He now lives in Springfield, Missouri. His rise from obscurity began in 1993 when Richard Christy and Steve Childers came upon one of Skip's self-released cassettes of music. They tracked down Skip and convinced him to form a band with them (The Elite, aka Skip Skiffington and the Elite). Richard has continued to be instrumental in Skip's success, continuing to perform and record with him as well as bringing him to Howard Stern's attention, resulting in numerous appearances on Howard's radio program.
