Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez

Marcel Rodríguez-López (b. 29 September 1983, Columbia, South Carolina) is an American percussionist, keyboardist, drummer, and multi-instrumentalist, brother of Marfred, Rikardo, and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. After playing with Ralph Dominique Jasso's "Thieves of Always" band, Marcel joined The Mars Volta in October 2003 mid-tour as a percussionist, and soon became a permanent member. He also joined Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group and several other ensembles and side projects led by Omar, and co-founded Zechs Marquise with his other two siblings. Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez makes solo electronic music as Eureka The Butcher.
