Path of Destruction is a 4 piece heavy/rock, 80's style metal band from Victoria, bringing the old school metal to a new age and form. With punters loving this "something different" with a "breath of fresh air" unique sound, Path of Destruction will bring you back in time, with their heart pounding, face melting sound of good ol’ classic metal. Formed in early 2012 they are heavily influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Motley Crue, KISS, Dokken, Pantera, Skid Row etc. It all started with the drummer - Jayden Varner seeking out other musos with the same 80’s influences. Jayden was introduced to guitarist Alex Zegelin and after a few jams together decided to get a band started. The boys took a break for a few months while Alex tended to other commitments which led to Jayden temporarily joining other bands in the mean time. When Alex was available again they reformed and completed their new lineup. Later in 2013 releasing their EP called "Comin For You" Having played in Melbourne and Bendigo with some of Australia’s top bands, Path of Destruction aim to do more Melbourne and regional Victorian shows with a goal of touring interstate. With first place and second place achievements in band competitions Path of Destruction also have upcoming shows in Adelaide and also in the process of planning and Brisbane tour in 2015. With killer powerhouse vocals both high and low, the sound of heavy, thundering 80’s metal drums, and punchy bass lines, mad guitar riffs with shredding solos, these guys are set to blow your minds with their catchy lyrics and onstage energy leaving you thriving for more!! Their goals are to make the best music they possibly can, tour and play as much as they can, goals to support big name acts nationally and more importantly KEEP 80’S METAL ALIVE!!
