Åsa Bällsten

Swedish songwriter and singer from Malmö, born September 6, 1975. She won the 2007 SM in trubadurslam which was organized in connection with the SM in poetry slam at Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg on 19 May. Her music has been played in both P1 and P2, and she has had gigs from Skåne to Lapland, including at Arvidsjaur's music festival and in Stockholm with Jan Hammarlund and Johan Johansson. She has also played in Norway, Denmark and the Faroe Islands. As an artist, Åsa mainly performs alone but has also been part of a number of different music constellations, including "Påtår hos Moa Martinson".
