Canadian composer, musician, educator and philanthropist. Born September 6, 1908in Strathroy, Ontario. Died June 27, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario. Father of singer Priscilla Wright. His music career went from the 1930s to the 1960s and he later became known for his large charitable donations and projects to fund music education in Canada.
