Kathy Street

Singer-songwriter in Austin, Texas. In college, she was the lead vocalist in a folk trio in college in Baytown, Texas and also performed in musicals. After moving to Austin, she began singing with 5-piece folk acoustic group October. She also performed with her sisters in the singing group The Wendel Sisters. She was briefly part of the jazz duo Scotch Mist. After attending songwriting workshops, she began recording demos at Tommy Byrd’s studio in 2001, leading to their formation of the duo Byrd & Street.
