Berlin based german DJ and vinyl nerd BeatPete, began djing and collecting a decade ago, and to this day, he's dedicated to vinyl only. His crates include Hip Hop/ Instrumental Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Library Music,… all of which are not collecting dust, but get spun on a regular. On his YouTube channel, BeatPete drops his Vinyl Sessions presented by HHV.DE, twice monthly, featuring his latest pick ups alongside some older gems. Additionally he takes his Vinyl Sessions to Cafe Wendel in Kreuzberg / Berlin once a month, often inviting other strictly vinyl DJ's to present some dope on plastic. For about 2 years now, BeatPete and co-founder Marian Tone have been putting on the Backyard Joints. A party focusing on new and old underground Hip Hop, the Arts of beat making as well as a healthy dose of Jazz & Funk. The event gives Beatmakers from all over a platform to present their craft at Panke in Berlin. BeatPete drops free download mixes regularly on his Soundcloud page and has released the first episode of his new mixtape series called “6401592” through HHV.DE, available on cassette. He's taken his crate all over Germany, across the border to Paris & Rennes (FR), Barcelona (SP), Pila (PL), Vienna (AT) and festivals like the Dooinit Festival as well as the Splash Festival. BeatPete shared the stage with artists like Klaus Layer, J-Zen, Wun Two, FloFilz, Beatvadda, Kalhex (Lex, Parental & Le Makizar), Pete Flux, A Cat Called FRITZ, Freddie Joachim, Suff Daddy, Figub Brazlevič, Chief, Melodiesinfonie, Maloon TheBoom, Demograffics, dude&phaeb, Bajka, Brous One, Simiah, Kayo amongst others.
