Barbershop bass vocalist. Born on December 8, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan. Phil joined the Air Force in the 1960’s which stationed him in Arizona. It was there that he would join the Western Continentals replacing original bass, Terry Diedrich. In 1967, the Western Continentals earned 2nd place silver medals and won it all in 1968. Foote appeared on all three of their albums. Phil sang with the group until a job change took him away in 1973. In 1979, Foote joined the Gentlemen’s Agreement quartet, who were the 1971 SPEBSQSA International Champions, replacing Bob Whitledge as bass. Foote passed away on August 18, 2017 in Highland, Michigan at the age of 77.
