Werner Klumlikboldt

A made up name using an anagram of Bernd Weikl and Kurt Moll. For a recording of there was no singer for the part of the Nightwatchman. Peter Jonas, then administrative assistant to George Solti, mischievously suggested that the first song be sung by Bernd Weikl, who was singing the part of Beckmesser, in the style of Kurt Moll, who was singing the part of Pogner, and for Moll to imitate Weikl for the second song by the Nightwatchman.
