Об исполнителе:
Ed Macy was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 13, 1935. He was a part of Wichita's Rock-N-Tones band, which dissolved after member Don Wise was paralyzed in a swimming accident on July 4, 1952. Macy formed a short-lived band with Wise's brother, Bob Wise, and also did a four-month tour with Something' Smith And The Redheads before settling into a career as a jazz guitarist in the Wichita area. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in in the early sixties, but refused an operation to correct the problem because of the risk of paralysis to his right side (this was before bandmate Don Wise's accident). Thirty years later, while performing in Oregon on January 6, 1990, Macy suffered a second cerebral hemorrhage and died on January 16. His son, Ed Macy Jr, is a drummer in the Wichita area. A second son, Drake Macy, is a guitarist in Los Angeles.
