Josef Habringer

Josef Habringer was born in Desselbrunn in 1952 and then graduated from high school at the Petrinum Linz College. Josef Habringer then studied theology in Linz and Salzburg. His musical education ranged from the Mozarteum in Salzburg to the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz and the Vienna University of Music. Professional Activities 1978–1992 Pastoral Assistant of the Catholic University Congregation and Refent for lay theologians; From 1989 consultant in the church music department of the Diocese of Linz, from 2001–2014 department head; 1992–2014 teaching at the Diocesan Conservatory (voice training, choir direction, liturgy); Choir and ensemble direction at the diocesan pedagogical academy until 2005. Head of the choir "Collegium Vocale" and the vocal sextet "Voices".
