Jazz musician (Saxophonist, Flutist, etc) Steve Harvey was a local legend here in Kansas city and his death was hard hitting for many in the Jazz scene here. He was murdered in the Kansas City "Liberty Memorial" park right after while practicing on his saxophone. Still in a tuxedo from a previous engagement, he went to chill out in the late evening (like usual) and blow some notes and was murdered on Nov 5th, 1980 by Raymond L. Bledsoe. A Tragic end to an amazing creative genius.
