Barbershop tenor/lead vocalist. Born in 1928, Dan went on to become one of the best barbershop lead singers ever. He had a four octave range and was known for his incredible vocal abilities. He along with Tommy Dames, Bob Bohn, and Ray Michalski formed the Easternaires quartet. They won the Arthur Godfrey Talent Show in 1954. Dan switched from tenor to lead in 1959 but continued to swap the two parts with Tommy Dames and future tenor, Eddy Ryan. He performed on Broadway in 1961 in the production of the Music Man when the Buffalo Bills left to film the movie. Dan remained active with the Easternaires until 1985 earning three bronze medals in the SPEBSQSA International contest. Aside from singing, Dan was an incredible entertainer on stage. He and Eddy Ryan had a duo act that they would do during intermission times at quartet shows that always brought joy and laughter. Dan died on April 22, 1996.
