Tom Dames

Barbershop tenor/lead vocalist. Born on April 1, 1927 in Bayonne, NJ. Original lead and later tenor if the popular Easternaires quartet. Sang lead with the group from 1955-58 and tenor from 1958-61. Earned a 5th place bronze medal in 1956 singing lead and a 4th place bronze medal in 1959 singing tenor. Appeared on the Easternaires album “Once Over Lightly” produced by RCA. Left the group when they went off to sing in the Music Man and was replaced by Eddy Ryan. Tommy died on March 27, 2014 at the age of 86.
