The Hanging Tree

Stoner / hard rock band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in the early Nineties by Flynn Gower, Rohan Mellick, Daniel Parkinson and Emmy Walters. They were joined in 1995 by Lucius Borich on drums (ex-JUICE (50). They issued a self-titled / self-funded album in August 1996. Borich and Gower left the group in 1997, and then in 1998 formed Cog (3). Parkinson and Walters continued with new members until the Hanging Tree disbanded in 2002. In November 2013 the original lineup reformed for the 'Blackbird Rising' benefit gig.
