Franjo Maček

Slovenian clarinetist and saxophonist, born on April 20, 1968 in Celje. He began playing the clarinet at the Elementary Music School in Laško and he finished the High School of Music and Ballet in Maribor. He studied clarinet at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He also finished the high school saxophone program - classical saxophone and jazz saxophone both at the Secondary School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. From 1992 was employed in the Slovenian Police Orchestra as the leader of the group (clarinets). He teaches at the Music Schools of Celje and Laško. He played in the Police Saxophone Quartet, but still plays in folk ensemble Alpski Kvintet and the Slovenian Clarinet Orchestra.
