Jorge Variego

Jorge Variego is a contemporary composer and clarinetist. He was born in Rosario, Argentina. He has a doctorate degree in music composition from the University of Florida, a master of music degree in composition and clarinet performance from Carnegie Mellon University, where he attended as a Fulbright scholar, and a JD equivalent from the National University of Rosario. He currently serves as adjunct professor of music theory/composition at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He previously taught at Valley City State University and at the University of Florida.
