Founded in 1879 by [a873814] as Orquesta Santa Cecilia de Pamplona. It was renamed in 1995 as the Orquesta Pablo Sarasate, and it is known also as the [a5195925] (OSN). It is the oldest active orchestra in Spain. Since 2003, it uses as Concert hall the Auditorio Baluarte De Pamplona; previously, it used the Teatro Gayarre. It was associated with the Fundación Pablo Sarasate from 1997 to August 2016. Starting September 2016, it has been linked to the Fundación Baluarte.
