Umchunga

Umchunga is the solo musical project of Nima Pourkarimi, based in Tehran, Iran. Nima has been working in several constellations and collaborations - most noteworthy he is one of two vocalists in the electronic/post-rock band Photomat. Nima has uploaded electronic tracks on Soundcloud frequently for several years. His début album ‘Should Have Been Done by Now’ released on Hibernate Recordings. The project is named after the Mira Calix track 'Umchunga Locks' from a Warp compilation.
