Mike Stone as he was then known (though credited most often as Michael Stone on their precious few original record releases from back in the day) of Rockford, Illinois graduated Iowa State and immediately ventured East and formed the classic line-up of 1980's Boston rock band Circle Sky along with his two singer-songwriter cousins Michael Culhane & Matt Keating and the longtime Culhane family friend and drummer/producer collaborator John Sharples in which an energetic and enigmatic Stone on bass expertly interpreted their original music and with the latter co-anchored the legendary long-lost roots-y & rowdy underground rock combo's musically agile rhythm section.
