Anders Larsson (15)

Drummer based in San Diego, California. As a professional musician, he collaborated with artists like Gary Wilson, R. Stevie Moore, Javier Escovedo, G Burns Jug Band, Lady Dottie and more. His research includes the fields of sound studies, sound-reproduction technologies within a cultural context, media studies, and Complexity Theory. His published thesis is titled "Wax Without Honey: The LP as Post-WWII American Zeitgeist" (Montezuma Publishing). He has a Professional Writing Certificate at San Diego State University, which includes hands-on professional experience in grant writing, project management, editing, and more. He studied formally with internationally-acclaimed artists and educators like Johnny Vidacovich, Jason Marsalis, Michael Pellera, Lars Danielsson, and Jerry Bergonzi. He made a mini-documentary made with David Robles on artist Eloise Piper which was shown for a month at the gallery at Penn State, and continue to collaborate with David Robles on a Gary Wilson film project. He is an alumnus of MALAS (Maters in Liberal Arts and Sciences) at San Diego State University.
