Karin Höghielm

Swedish singer and composer, born on the Baltic island of Gotland, born March 28, 1962, died May 3, 2022 in Gnesta. She studied composition, piano, classical singing, cello, etc. Her productions have been created for the stage and moved freely between many forms of expression. She composed chamber music, choral music and for orchestra, among other things, a composition of Rökstenen with text in Old Norse. She used her voice as her primary instrument but also made some of her own instruments including Viking bone flute, bullroarer, and drums.
