Roberto Zenteno

Trumpet player and big band leader, originally from Monterey, Mexico. He moved to Houston, Texas in the 1950s, where he continued performing until his death on July 29, 2004 at age 76. Zenteno performed mambo, jazz, salsa, meringue, swing and other genres. Many of Zenteno’s children were also musicians, including Norma Zenteno and Javier Zenteno.
