Jacques Friedman

French guitarist. After classical guitar studies at the École Normale de Musique in Paris, Jacques Friedman turned to jazz under the leadership of guitarist Pierre Cullaz. His extensive knowledge of the classical repertoire and his innate sense of improvisation make him an unclassifiable musician, equally at home in a Bach fugue that in a theme of George Gershwin.
