Born in Morocco, before settling in the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area of the United States. "Queen" Catrice Brumfield was an office receptionist for Ruthless Records in 1986 until Suge Knight bought out her resume from Jerry Heller in 1991; Brumfield was later assigned to studio management for Death Row Records up until 2003, when the label was raided. In late 2003, after leaving Death Row, Brumfield became the president of A&R for Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment. As the president of A&R for Aftermath, Brumfield was responsible for helping to oversee the talents of Rakim, Truth Hurts, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game (2), Busta Rhymes, Eve and Stat Quo. In 2007, she left the label and as of 2014, she is currently retired from the music business.
