Hirpus

Italian Black Metal band from Rome, formed in 2001. Hirpus was the name used by a group of warrior priests living on the Soratte mountain, near Rome, devoted to mystical practices. The word "Hirpus" comes from Oscian, an indo-european language related to Latin, and means "wolf", an animal closely related to Mars in ancient italic religions.
