Son of Archie Gottler A piano student of Walter Freed. He was a scenarist and a songwriter for films, and also wrote, directed and produced television short subjects. He was the screenwriter of Woman Haters (1934), the first of a series of 190 Three Stooges comedy short films. He collaborated with his father on many songs. He charted once as a songwriter in the U.S., in 1933 with "How's About It?" by Phil Harris in 1933 hit #10 (co-written by his father).
