Cyril Puhala

Drummer - songwriter He started with the Pittsburgh band Glory in 1968, opening for the likes of Rare Earth, Amboy Dukes, Jorge Santana, Grass Roots, Classics Four, and Little Feat. After attending Duquesne University in 1973, he joined BHQ, a funk/ show band that toured the country extensively until 1979. Post-BHQ in Los Angeles, Puhala joined Carter and Chanel, who recorded for MCA records and toured extensively throughout the U.S. In the early 80's he played with Tailspin. Back in Pittsburgh, he has worked in jazz combos and with Vanilla Soul, Soul Village and Jimbo and the Soupbones.
