Formed in 2011, Sound and Fury had several members-changes and has been active in the Chengdu music scene since the beginning of 2016. The current line-up is composed of vocalist Kuang Ying, guitarist Fan Shuai, bassist Zou and drummer Andrew. The band are heavily influenced by the 80's and 90's shoegaze, along with the post-2000's Nu-gaze revival wave, trying to find the ambiguous relationship between the pleasant vocals and warm guitar sound. In October 2013, the band was invited to participate in the first East Asia Shoegaze Music Festival held in Shanghai, and won the hearts of many fans with their sometimes warm and sometimes manic fuzz wall, and sweet melodies. After releasing numerous singles, the official debut album 'Sprout' was released in November 2017. The album, which took a year to produce, reveals the members' attachment to Indie Rock and 90's guitar music, infusing the introspective shoegaze with an explosive rock 'n' roll sound with a very raw feel.
