American composer and arranger (b. 1962, New Orleans, LA). He is currently the Chief Arranger with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” Prior to joining Pershing’s Own, he served as the Chief Arranger for The United States Military Academy Band (West Point Band) in New York. His arrangements have been heard on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the 2002 Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremonies in Salt Lake City, and with the National Symphony Orchestra and Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. Prior to enlisting in the Army, he worked as a freelance arranger and trumpeter, having performed with Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, Robert Goulet, Lou Rawls, Sam & Dave, The Temptations, and others. Brown earned his M.M. in music theory from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.M. in music theory from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
