Lead And Thoughts And Spears

Lead and Thoughts and Spears was a three-piece progressive dreampop band active in the 1990's from Long Beach, California. They were heavily influenced by David Sylvian, and Robin Guthrie's work. However; their compositions are much different, with delicate mix ups, progressions and crescendos. The vocals are soft and looming in the background. They have played most of the local circuits and spotlights, and have had numerous slots and air-time with local and national college radio stations. Lead and Thoughts and Spears has a reputation for performing live, that which is normally achieved in the studio. Without the use of synths or sequencing, the band has developed the characteristics of a many piece ensemble through the use of multi-effects and unorthodox writing styles.
