Frank Geens

The only permanent member of :TROTH: In 1983, Frank rolled, at the tender age of 13, into the underground scenes of Post-Punk, Skinhead, New-Wave and Batcave. This was soon followed by an indirect involvement in the Temple Ov Psychic Youth in 1985, which opened the way to a legion of occult(ural) currents. It was via TOPY that he discovered the Asatrú movement by Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson in Iceland. In 1988, at the age of 18, Frank discovered the "Eddukvæði" LP by Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson and the "Fruits Of Yggdrasil" LP by Freya Aswynn and Sixth Comm. These LP's, along with Aswynn's book "Leaves Of Yggdrasil" as well as the "Edda", determined Frank's path in life. Direct and indirect links to the Neofolk and Pagan & Occultural communities, mainly in the Northern Tradition, quickly emerged and maintained. But, Frank was never a member of a group. Frank has a bachelor's degree in Office Management and has worked for the government as well as private companies, mainly in administration and IT. But, his personal focus is on Rune Magick, long bicycle trips, studying & reading, and creating for :TROTH: Frank is also a financial supporting member of the local animal shelter in Ghent/Flanders in Belgium. Since 2008 Frank is, along with Freya herself, an administrator of the official :Freya Aswynn: fanpage on facebook. In 2016, he had a modest involvement in Aswynn's deck of rune cards, titled "Runes Of Yggdrasil", which was published by the Atlantis Bookshop in London. Also in 2016, Frank founded :TROTH: For this project, Frank creates all the music, designs all the cover artwork, does all the photography, and makes all the masks and other :TROTH: ritual objects. The :TROTH: sigil and bindrune was also designed by him.
