Throe (2)

Throe formed back in December 1998, but since then have already made major accomplishments as a new local act. All of the members of Throe have been in other bands before this one, but left their bands to start something else. sXe Joe moved from Boca Raton, FL where he was in the band I.R.E. (Irate Revolutionary Entertainment). Lloyd and Face we're both in the local Orlando band Screaming Silence which was later disbanded. Alex had a breif stint in a couple bands that just never got off their feet. Lastly, Dave Perkins was in the band Minus 10 and left the band for something a bit heavier. Everyone decided that their current bands weren't heavy or strong enough, so inevitably, Throe was formed. Mixing elements of bands like Machine Head, Korn, Pantera, and Deftones; Then in April 2001, Throe suffered its first major blow when original guitarist Alex C. left the group. They soon inlisted new guitar player and immediately begain training him in the Throe style as well as writing new material.
