Britt Allcroft (born 14th December 1943 in Worthing, West Sussex, UK) is a children's television producer. She is best known for creating "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends" television series (based on the books by The Reverend W. Awdry) and its American sister show "Shining Time Station". She also created "The Magic Adventures of Mumfie" in the late 1990's.
